The “Pietre Vive” Farmhouse,
located
in the heart of the Ragusan countryside with its centuries-old
carob and olive trees, its stone walls and typical Mediterranean
vegetation, goes back to the beginning of the 19th
century and was entirely built in stone, characteristic
are its thick walls and high cross-beamed ceilings..
The farmhouse has a typical Sicilian “bbagghiu”,
or courtyard, all in cobblestone. There's a terrace with
a splendid view of the coast of Cava D’Aliga (a section
of Scicli) and Porto Empedocle (Agrigento). On very clear
days you can see the hilltops of Malta.
